Kazeem Royal Properties and Constructions Ltd. has called for improved standards, innovation, and the use of durable materials in Nigeria’s plumbing and construction sectors as part of efforts to strengthen infrastructure and public health across the country.
The company made the call during an industry gathering in Lagos held alongside the inauguration of newly elected executives of the Association of Professional Plumbers of Nigeria, APPN.
The event brought together stakeholders from the construction and plumbing industries to discuss the role of technology, professionalism, and technical expertise in improving building standards nationwide.
Speaking at the event, Chief Operating Officer of Kazeem Royal Properties and Constructions Ltd., Basorun Ibraheem Babayeju, said the quality of plumbing materials used in buildings remains critical to structural safety, durability, and efficient water systems.
According to him, many avoidable building and water-related challenges are often caused by the use of substandard plumbing products.
He said: “The quality of plumbing materials used in construction plays a major role in the safety and lifespan of buildings. Many avoidable structural and water-related problems stem from the use of inferior products.”
Babayeju noted that the company has continued to invest in modern manufacturing processes to produce durable pipes and fittings capable of lasting for more than 50 years.
“Our goal is not only to provide products but also to contribute to raising standards within the industry,” he added.
He further described plumbers as key contributors to national development, stressing that efficient water systems are essential for healthy living and sustainable urban growth.
Babayeju also urged professionals in the sector to embrace continuous learning and uphold high standards in their practice.
The event featured contributions from government representatives and industry leaders who highlighted the importance of technical education and vocational training in driving economic growth and improving infrastructure development.
Participants at the gathering agreed that empowering skilled workers, encouraging innovation, and promoting quality workmanship would help strengthen Nigeria’s construction and plumbing sectors in the long term.
The discussions also reflected what stakeholders described as a growing shift within the industry toward professionalism, technology-driven solutions, and long-term infrastructure sustainability.
